about
We tracked vocals and acoustic guitar for several songs Jamie had written but never recorded in February and March of 2021. Jamie was feeling pretty tired and weak at the time, but she felt it was important to document these songs and potentially be able to release them as an album or just have for her son, Seto. After she passed away, I asked a few people if they would like to produce a track from the ones we had collected. David Stone picked this one and I know Jamie would love what he's done with it.

lyrics
You, you’ve got something in mind
And I think I’ll try, try hard
To keep us in line
I feel half dead from my head
To my toe
Friend or foe
And I wonder
If I could ever hope to be
The soul survivor
I could never hope to be
The soul survivor
I could never hope to be
The soul survivor
I could never hope to be
The soul survivor, and you
You, you’ve got something in mind
And I will try hard
To keep us in line
I feel half dead from my head
Down to my toe
Friend or foe
And I wonder
If I could ever hope to be
The soul survivor
I could never hope to be
The soul survivor
I could never hope to be
The soul survivor
I could never hope to be
The soul survivor, and you
