"When Chris first mentioned this project to celebrate Jamie's music, I considered how or if I could make a contribution to this beautiful offering. There are holes in my accumulated experiences that preclude me from being as sick of sarah as Jamie was, so I had some concerns about my fit. I took a listen to Light On and was able to find connection. We evolve, we move, we shift, we arrive in and out of the darkness over and over. And, we hope that while we're busy doing this, the “light” remains on at home, and in the hearts of friends and family. The highest order of comfort... something we all can sing about."

lyrics
So this is what it feels like when a load has been lifted
This is what it feels like when the light is on
So leave the light on
Leave the light on, honey
Cause I feel better with the light on
So this is what it feels like when the shame is washed away
This is what it feels like when you look at me and say
Leave the light on
Leave the light on honey
I like it better with the light on
For so long, I lay blinded by the darkness
But now I’ve grown and it’s all coming into focus
So this is what it feels like when a load has been lifted
This is what it feels like when the light is on
Leave the light on
Leave the light on, honey
You'll like me better with the light on
Cause I am better when the light is on
Oh yeah, Leave the light on
I feel better with the light on
For so long...
For so long...
For so long...
For so long...
